The fast-food brand currently works in Portugal with 787 Portuguese companies, which represents around 73% in volume and 57% in value of total purchases made by the brand in our country.
McDonald’s purchased more than 16 thousand tons of national ingredients and food products in Portugal in 2023. According to a company statement, around 40% of total purchases in terms of raw materials are made from Portuguese partners.

Inês Lima, General Director of McDonald’s Portugal, states that “it is with pride that, on this National Production Day, we once again recognize and highlight the fundamental role of our national partners, who enable us to offer consumers the best that is produced in Portugal. It is with this purpose that we maintain our strong commitment to the national economy, through partnerships with local suppliers in the regions where our 200 restaurants are present”.
The brand’s national product offerings range from breakfast, coffee, soups, salads and burgers.
