Duarte Siopa has been away from “Manhã CM” for almost a month and will be definitively replaced by Rui Oliveira, starting on Monday, March 18th.
Duarte Siopa was transferred to “Noite das Estrelas”, where he will be a commentator (from the 18th), alongside Adriano Silva Martins, Daniel Nascimento, Teresa Guilherme, Sílvia Botelho and Zé Gouveia.
During his time away from the small screen, Duarte Siopa has received several messages on social media: “This affection from the public is a reflection of my work, my commitment, my dedication to CMTV and the love and respect I have for the public“, he told the magazine TV7 Dias.
“As for the press, I never spoke nor will I make any type of comment when I left in the morning. Carlos Rodrigues, general director of the station, has already made a statement, so I have nothing to add. We are all united so that CMTV can be a successful station. Wait for my return“, he added.

“We will present many new features on CMTV’s anniversary. Duarte is a face that the Portuguese admire. He deserves all the tributes for everything he gave and above all for everything he will still give to this channel and television. We will present CMTV’s new projects in good time”, stated the channel director.
