Arapongas City Hall has already invested more than R$21 million in uniforms, sneakers and school material kits for all students in the Municipal Network over the last eight years – including students in the Youth and Adult Education (EJA) modality. “We did a lot of work in these eight years. But our most important work is to value human beings”, said Mayor Sérgio Onofre.
In an unprecedented action in the history of Arapongas, the standardization of school uniforms contributes to important aspects of safety in the school environment, but especially to minimize the process of inequality within Municipal Schools and Municipal Early Childhood Education Centers (CMEI’s). In this sense, school material kits were also distributed, favoring didactic and pedagogical content. “We are very proud of this proposal implemented by management. It’s about welcoming each student, with equality and affection. We know that there are families who are unable to provide these items to their children and we want to make the school environment an equal and quality space”, adds Onofre.
