Having reached the age of majority, attention increasingly focuses on Princess Leonor, the heir to the throne in Spain. The 18-year-old girl, who is currently receiving military training, as happened with her father, the current king, is one of the protagonists of a documentary that German television ZDF will broadcast and where the princess’s supposed secrets will be revealed.
“Young, woman, princess: the future queens of Europe” is the motto of this documentary, which in addition to detailing Leonor’s life also focused on princesses Amalia of the Netherlands, Elisabeth of Belgium, Ingrid of Norway and Estelle of Sweden.
German television wants to show what the lives of these young princesses are like, without any secrets, who will ascend to the throne in just a few years. “For the European princesses who are supposed to save the monarchy, the responsibility is enormous,” says the documentary’s narrator.
It is shown how they are, how they were created and formed and, most importantly, what will change once they ascend to their respective thrones. They are all being prepared for that moment, when attention will focus even more on them.
