The nine cities of Baixada Santista, on the coast of São Paulo, will begin the vaccination campaign against Influenza – flu – for priority groups this Monday (25). In this year, the vaccine is trivalent, protecting against three strains of the virus: H1N1, H3N2 and Influenza B.

The campaign goes until May 31st, with vaccination D-Day on April 13th. Initially, children aged six months to six years, pregnant and postpartum women, indigenous people and the elderly received the doses first.

Check out the complete vaccination schedule for each municipality:

  • Priority groups: elderly people +70 years of age, pregnant women and women who have recently given birth (up to 45 days after giving birth), health workers and residents of long-term care institutions.
  • Documents: document with photo and proof of residence in Santos. Health workers must present proof of active employment with the institution in which they work. Pregnant women must present a prenatal card and postpartum women must present proof of delivery up to 45 days before. Long-term care institutions must request vaccination for their residents at the reference polyclinic in their location.

  • Documents: official document with photo and vaccination card. Pregnant women must present a monitoring and/or prenatal card or medical report. Postpartum women will need to show the child’s birth certificate or document from the hospital where the birth took place. People with chronic illnesses must present a report or prescription proving their health condition. Teachers will need to present a document that proves their active role in the position. Health professionals must show a class council document (if any) or proof linking the worker to the health institution
  • Vaccination locations: in all 30 Family Health Units (Usafas) and the Medical and Outpatient Specialties Center (Cemas)
  • Opening hours: Usafas – Monday to Friday, from 9am to 4pm Cemas – Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, from 9am to 3pm
  • Priority groups: children aged between 6 months and 5 years, pregnant women, women who have recently given birth, the elderly over 60 years and indigenous people
  • Vaccination locations: in all 9 Family Health Units (UBS)
  • Opening hours: Monday to Friday, 9am to 3pm
