Federal Deputy Nicoletti

Federal deputy Nicoletti (UNIÃO-RR) expressed his concern about the alarming increase in dengue cases in Brazil, with more than 2 million records of the disease and 682 confirmed deaths in 2024. The situation is considered the worst ever recorded in the country since the beginning of the historical series, in the 2000s.

Nicoletti highlighted the lack of agility in vaccination and preparation to face the epidemic, criticizing the management of President Lula and the Ministry of Health: “All of this is the result of such irresponsibility of the ‘president’ Lula and the Ministry of Health, who seem little care about the speed of vaccination to combat this epidemic”, stated the parliamentarian.

The deputy highlighted the special concern with the state of Roraima, where the situation is even more critical due to the dry period. With the rainy season imminent, the arrival of vaccines is essential to contain the spread of the disease: “When the rains start, we have to be prepared and the vaccines have not yet arrived”, warned Nicoletti.

Faced with this worrying scenario, the parliamentarian emphasized the importance of prevention and vaccination to combat dengue. Dengue represents a serious threat to the health and safety of the Brazilian population, requiring an urgent and coordinated response from all spheres of government and civil society. Deputy Nicoletti reiterated his commitment to demanding effective measures to protect the population and contain the spread of this serious disease.
