The capital of Amazonas recorded, from March 17th to 23rd, 29 confirmed cases of dengue, out of a total of 174 suspected cases. Since January 1st, the municipality has had a total of 1,710 confirmed cases, among 7,251 reported cases of arbovirus, of which 1,118 remain under investigation. The number of confirmed deaths from the disease remains at one, and two others are being investigated.

The data comes from the Epidemiological Report on Arboviruses, from the Municipal Health Department (Semsa), released this Monday (23). The publication reaches its 12th edition.

Zika records include one reported case, with no confirmation of new cases, in the last week. Year to date, the municipality has 62 suspected and 18 confirmed cases of the disease, with another 13 cases currently under investigation. There are no deaths confirmed or under investigation.

The epidemiological report contains two suspected cases of chikungunya, with no new confirmed cases of the disease. In 2024, the disease totals four confirmed cases, among 68 reported cases, 33 of which remain under investigation. There is no record of deaths confirmed or under investigation due to arbovirus.

The publication also reports four new cases of oropouche, totaling 846 cases of the disease this year, all confirmed using laboratory criteria. The number of deaths from arbovirus remains at one, confirmed by laboratory criteria, with no other deaths or cases under investigation. The report does not contain data on reported cases of the disease, which does not constitute a compulsory notification condition.
