Despite its therapeutic potential, it is important to take precautions when using cinnamon. Pregnant women, breastfeeding women and people with hypersensitivity or allergies to cinnamon should avoid its consumption.

Although cinnamon has been recognized in traditional Asian medicine for its health benefits, such as relieving mild gastrointestinal symptoms, its potential for treating more serious illnesses, such as cancer and diabetes, does not yet have sufficient scientific evidence. It is essential to consult a doctor if symptoms persist for more than two days or if there is blood in the stool.

Cinnamon tea recipe:

Ingredients:

  • 1 g cinnamon stick
  • 1 cup of water

Method of preparation:

  • In a pan, bring the water to a boil.
  • While the water heats, add the piece of cinnamon stick.
  • Let the mixture boil for about 10 to 15 minutes, so that the cinnamon releases all its flavors and properties.
  • After the infusion time, turn off the heat and strain the tea to remove the piece of cinnamon.
  • Serve hot cinnamon tea in a cup and enjoy!
