Signs of Alzheimer’s and aging
One of the most common signs of Alzheimer’s and dementia is memory loss that interferes with daily activities.
This includes forgetting recently learned information, important dates, and repeating the same questions over and over again.
While in normal aging, it is common to forget names or appointments, but remember them later.
Additionally, difficulties planning or solving problems, completing familiar tasks, and confusion with time or place are signs that may indicate Alzheimer’s or other forms of dementia.
While occasional errors in financial or household management are common as we age, significant changes in judgment, loss of the ability to retrace steps to find lost objects, among others, may suggest something more serious.
Other worrying signs include difficulties with language, vision, mood and personality changes, and withdrawal from social or work activities.
Experts advise that when noticing any potential symptoms of Alzheimer’s and dementia, it is necessary to consult a doctor.
