The population of Barra do Bugres was called to take another crucial action in the fight against Dengue, a disease that has worried authorities and local residents. In a live broadcast, coordinator Mara Souza and secretary of economic development, environment and tourism Wesley Granella presented details about the multi-cleaning event that will be carried out in the municipality.
The Secretary of the Environment, Wesley, explained that the crowd will be specifically aimed at removing objects that accumulate water, promoting the reproduction of the Aedes aegypti mosquito, which transmits Dengue fever. He highlighted the importance of the population’s active participation, instructing residents to remove these containers from their yards and homes, thus ensuring the correct disposal of the materials.
During the broadcast, Mara, coordinator of Health Surveillance, reinforced the need for action, highlighting the increase in Dengue cases in the municipality. She explained that the multirão will have a specific program per neighborhood, ensuring that everyone is served in an organized and effective manner.
Furthermore, it was highlighted that the multirão does not interfere with regular garbage collection, which will continue to take place normally. The initiative is complementary and aims to target larger waste, such as sofas, old refrigerators and bicycles, which are not collected by the common garbage truck.
Municipal management reinforced that the entire population will be duly informed about the collection schedule, through social networks and broadcast sound. This way, residents will be able to know exactly when the truck will be passing through their neighborhood.
Finally, the continuous blocking work carried out by the health team was highlighted, which consists of eliminating the adult mosquito. However, it was emphasized that this effort will only be effective if accompanied by the collaboration of the population, who must take care of their backyards and eliminate possible mosquito breeding sites.
