This Monday (29), the ESF (Family Health Strategy) team from the Campinas neighborhood carried out home vaccination against the flu, covering homes in the Campinas, Parque Shagri-lá and Solo Rico neighborhoods.
The service is provided with: Prior scheduling, trained nursing staff, immunological conservation in accordance with current legislation and formal pre- and post-vaccination guidelines.
The target audience for this action is bedridden patients, elderly people over 60 years old, people with reduced mobility, disabled people and homebound people.
The action was carried out by the ESF Campinas team, made up of a nurse, nursing technician, nursing assistant and ACS (Community Health Agent) responsible for the micro area.
“In addition to the elderly being the main target audience, when bedridden they are at greater risk of respiratory infections. Going to the elderly person in their home facilitates access to health services. Thus, it not only protects against the flu, but also its complications”, explained the Deputy Secretary of Health, Luis César Vieira.
