Event takes place at Espaço Multiusos from April 12th to 14th
The 13th Great Portuguese Wine Show, which will take place in Albufeira from the 12th to the 14th of April, was presented at the BTL – Lisbon Tourism Board, last Thursday, February 29th.
The presentation of the event was attended by Carlos Oliveira, chancellor of the Confraria; José Carlos Rolo, president of Albufeira City Council; Desidério Silva, president of APAL – Albufeira Promotion Agency; and Pedro Rego, from the Federation of Wine Confraternities, among several confreres, representatives of partner entities, businesspeople, the media and the public.
The event, organized by the Confraria do Bacchus de Albufeira, in partnership with the Municipality of Albufeira, reaches its 13th edition, maintaining the objective of promoting some of the best national nectars, creating a unique opportunity to, in the same space, taste the increasingly appreciated flavors of our wines.
For this year’s edition, the main novelty has to do with the date, as the exhibition will be brought forward to the month of April, taking place on the 12th, 13th and 14th, with the event taking place between 3pm and 8pm, at on the 12th, and between 3pm and 9pm, on the 13th and 14th of April.
EMA – Espaço Multiusos de Albufeira is the space chosen for this journey that promises to bring thousands of wine lovers to Albufeira, but gastronomy will also be highlighted with the tasting of some traditional products.
The presence of some of the biggest national brands is guaranteed, as well as small productions that are not found in the usual sales channels. One of the secrets to the success of this exhibition is to provide visitors with the opportunity to try and purchase new brands and references.
Entrance to the Grande Mostra de Vinhos de Portugal is free, but, to take part in the tastings, it is necessary to purchase the event’s official glass.
The Confraria do Bacchus de Albufeira organizes, at the same time, the ninth edition of the Wine Competition, which will reward the best nectars represented there, highlighting that this is already one of the biggest events of its kind at national level, having counted, in 2023, with more than a hundred exhibitors and nine thousand participants.
