Last weekend, Braga City Council promoted a Training Session for the Youth Volunteering Program – Voluntaria-te at the Lúcio Craveiro da Silva Library.
In a statement, the municipality said this Wednesday that the session brought together 31 young people who signed up to participate in volunteering offers for the Easter Holidays: ‘Easter on the Farm’ and ‘Animal Friendly School’.
“During the Training Session, participants were led through a series of dynamics, including team collaboration exercises, self-reflection and sharing exercises. The rules of the program and what is expected of volunteers were also discussed so that they can make the most of the opportunities offered,” the statement said.
According to the municipality, “the interest and availability demonstrated by young people who have been participating in the Voluntaria-te program resulted in the expansion of the offer, now for the Easter Edition, the first to take place”.
After completing the work in the Training Session, “young people are ready to participate in volunteering offers, contributing positively to the well-being of the community and strengthening the bonds of solidarity between everyone”.
