This Friday, 72 thousand euros were delivered to 71 children, and their families, in the municipality of Mondim de Basto, within the scope of the Birth Incentive Measure.
In a statement, the municipality explains that the measure “was implemented in 2023 and is intended to support children born from January 1, 2022, until they reach three years of age”.
Support is annual and each child receives 750 euros, with the first delivery of 2024 taking place today and rewarding 71 children born in 2022, 2023 and 2024.
“We have ninechildren from the parish of Atei, four from Bilhó, 44 from São Cristóvão de Mondim de Basto, three from the Union of Parishes (UF) of Campanhó and Paradança, three from the UF of Ermelo and Pardelhas and eight from Vilar de Ferreiros”, indicates the municipality.
According to Bruno Ferreira, president of the chamber, “it is measure aims to help young couples in the municipality to provide a happy and healthy development for their children, mitigating the costs associated with parenthood”.
