With an eye towards the integral development of the school community, the Municipality of Albufeira reinforced human resources in the area of Education. On March 15th, the Hall Nobre of Paços do Concelho received 18 of the Municipality’s 50 new technical education assistants for the signing of employment contracts.
This investment in schools’ human resources will promote the opening of new kindergarten classrooms and the creation of more ATL classes. “This is a strategic investment that aims to strengthen the school community and eliminate some gaps that may exist in the municipality’s schools”revealed the president of Albufeira City Council.
“Education implies thinking about the whole, the community. It’s something very noble. Dealing with young people and children is always a challenge”this is how the Mayor of Albufeira addressed the Municipality’s new workers, who on March 15th signed their employment contracts in the category of operational assistants/technical assistants in Education.
The moment, which took place in the Salão Nobre of Paços do Concelho, at 9:15 am, was attended by 18 of the new operational assistants/technical assistants in Education, who will begin their duties from next week, out of a total of 50 places that will be gradually filled.
“This investment in human resources is an added value and crucial for combating some gaps that may exist in municipal schools and has a positive impact on the teaching and education of children and young people in Albufeira” said José Carlos Rolo, president of the municipality, remembering that Education also covers school administrative areas, transport and food in the municipality’s school canteens.
In addition to investing in recruitment and training, the Municipality is committed to ensuring the proper functioning of institutions by strengthening teams and increasing the ratio between students and technical education assistants, especially after the significant increase in the number of students in recent years.
The councilor responsible for Education and Human Resources, Cláudia Guedelha, stated that “These hires, in addition to reinforcing existing teams, will allow the opening of new kindergarten classrooms, as well as creating new ATL classes [atividades de tempos livres] ”.
On the same day, after signing the employment contracts, the Human Resources Division of the Municipality of Albufeira presented the Town Hall space to the new employees, as well as a brief explanation of the institution’s organizational culture and usual work procedures.
