The new employees will begin their duties starting next week, out of a total of 50 positions that will be gradually filled.

On March 15th, the Albufeira municipality received 18 of the 50 new technical education assistants to sign employment contracts.

According to a statement released, this investment in schools’ human resources will promote the opening of new kindergarten classrooms and the creation of more ATL classes.

“This is a strategic investment that aims to strengthen the school community and eliminate some gaps that may exist in the municipality’s schools”, revealed the president of the City Council, José Carlos Rolo, remembering that education also covers school administrative areas, transport and food in the municipality’s school canteens.

In addition to investing in hiring and training, “the municipality is committed to ensuring the proper functioning of institutions, strengthening teams and increasing the ratio between students and technical education assistants, especially after the significant increase in the number of students in recent years “, reads the same note.

The councilor responsible for Education and Human Resources, Cláudia Guedelha, stated that “these hires, in addition to reinforcing existing teams, will allow the opening of new kindergarten classrooms, as well as creating new ATL classes [atividades de tempos livres] ”.
