The Professional School of Torres Novas (EPTN) organized its 7th Soiree and Diploma Awards Ceremony, which took place at Teatro Virgínia, in Torres Novas, on March 8th. Students were distinguished in several categories: students who integrated the value table in the previous academic year; entrepreneurial/participative/hard-working and notable students (EPTN students); final year students from the 2020/2023 triennium, from the Sociocultural Animator, Communication, Management, Computer Systems Management and Programming, Logistics and Tourism courses; and students who were part of the excellence framework, final year students who obtained an average of more than 16 at the end of the course.

Some projects developed in different areas of training were also highlighted, which received honorable classifications, and which reflect EPTN’s commitment to promoting and reinforcing skills and developing the creativity, innovation and collaborative work of its students. The Tourism course participated in the “Masterclass Universidade Portucalense”, and among around 50 students, from the finalist schools, 1st place was awarded to EPTN students Marta Ferreira, Elisa Medeiros and Filipa António, and to a video about ‘ Pafarrão’s Orange Pie’.

The Communication course, represented by students Simone Justino and Tomás Carreira, achieved 1st prize in the “Floral Games of the municipality of Alcanena”, in the Plastic Expression modality, with a drawing of Olhos d’Água. Student Matilde Maltez, in the 3rd year of the Sociocultural Animator course, was 1st placed in the A(R)Riscar National Illustration Competition, promoted by the Ajudaris association and which challenged all 3rd cycle and teaching students secondary or professional to design Monuments of Portugal.

Sports merit awards were also awarded to students who participated in various activities within the scope of School Sports, guided by professor António Miranda. Within the scope of the Erasmus program, the students participating in the curricular internships, which took place in Bilbao, Spain, were honored, as well as the teachers and staff at Centro Qualifica who carried out training in different areas and in different countries, such as Spain, the Netherlands, Croatia, Norway and Estonia.

In this ceremony, EPTN also distinguished adults who completed the Skills Recognition, Validation and Certification process at its Qualifica Center, obtaining a basic or secondary level school certification. This year, through poetry and music, values ​​such as peace, freedom, equality and love were highlighted. In a press release, EPTN would like to thank the dedication, dedication and professionalism of teachers Ana Carla Ferreira, Cátia Freitas, Liliana Redol and Susana Nunes and all the students and collaborators involved in this memorable ceremony.
