One thousand participants guaranteed in the 3rd edition of the “Startup Summit”

Innovation, entrepreneurship, technology transfer and risk capital are the main areas of debate at the “Startup Capital Summit 2024: SCS24 ”, a conference on new challenges for companies. The meeting, scheduled for May 10th – at the Convento de São Francisco (CSF), in Coimbra – is expected to be attended by 1,100 participants, with free registration.
It is an organization of the University of Coimbra (UC), in partnership with the City Council and the Pedro Nunes Institute (IPN). This 3rd edition will have the High Patronage of the President of the Portuguese Republic, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa.
SCS24 is aimed at startups and entrepreneurs, investors and researchers, companies and students.
For the rector of the University of Coimbra, Amílcar Falcão, “innovation and entrepreneurship play a crucial role in the advancement of society, and events like SCS24 offer a valuable platform for collaboration between academics, entrepreneurs and investors”.
The initiative has a strong international aspect, “intending to be a privileged networking event between these stakeholders”, says the organization.
The university’s top official adds that “UC is committed and enthusiastic about boosting the entrepreneurship ecosystem, contributing to sustainability, through knowledge and innovation.”
