Tourism Center of Portugal stands out in the national tourist reputation

Turismo Centro de Portugal has established itself as one of the most prestigious tourist regions in the country, reveals the RepScore 2024 study, conducted by the consultancy OnStrategy. With a score of 73.7 points, on a scale that reaches 100, Turismo do Centro is positioned as the fourth best rated region, right after Turismo do Porto e Norte (74.5), Turismo de Lisboa (74 ,2) and Tourism of the Azores (74.1). It is also noteworthy that the assessment of Turismo do Centro registered a significant increase, rising from 71.8 points in 2023 to the current 73.7 points.

Cities in the Central region of Portugal also stand out in this study. Aveiro, with 74 points, occupies third place among the best rated cities, following Porto and Viana do Castelo. The list of the 10 cities with the best reputation also includes, among others, Leiria (73), Viseu (73) and Coimbra (72.9), all belonging to Central Portugal.

Two tourist icons in the region gain prominence in the “Art & Culture” category. The Batalha Monastery leads this ranking, with 74.2 points, while the Alcobaça Monastery (73.2) takes fourth place, surpassing the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation and the Jerónimos Monastery, and positioning itself ahead of the Serralves Foundation .

Another highlight goes to the University of Coimbra, which leads the “Schools & Universities” category, with 77 points.

RepScore 2024 is a study that evaluates the reputation of brands in Portugal, taking into account their emotional and rational perception among more than 50 thousand citizens, both online and in person or by telephone, in continuous work throughout the 52 weeks of the year. Respondents represent a diverse sample of Portuguese society, reflecting different geographic profiles, gender, age and education levels.
