Avenida da Europa and Viseu ring roads under construction. Traffic will be restricted

Starting this Thursday, Avenida da Europa and the North and South ring roads will have restrictions in a phased manner due to the works advanced by the City Council. Intervention will cost more than 240 thousand euros

Avenida da Europa and the North and South ring roads, in Viseu, will have restricted traffic from this Thursday (4 April), due to repair and conservation works carried out by the City Council.

The constraints on the roads targeted for intervention will continue until June 4th and in a phased manner, informs the municipality.

Avenida da Europa will be the first artery to be closed from April 4th to 21st, followed by Circular Norte from April 22nd to May 15th and Circular Sul from May 11th to June 4th.

On Avenida da Europa, the section between the Fonte Cibernética and Aguieira roundabouts will be subject to works. On the North and South ring roads, the works will take place between the roundabouts of Avenida da Belgium and Praça Grão Vasco and also in the section between the roundabouts of Praça João Paulo II and Jugueiros.

The intervention on the three routes will cost Viseu City Council 241 thousand euros and has an expected execution period of 42 days, being part of the repair and conservation works on the municipality’s roads recently handed over by the municipality to contractors.

The works will cost, in total, more than 740 thousand euros.
