Alerts for the five northern districts are valid between 12pm and 6pm today.

The yellow warning due to rain, which covers Porto, Vila Real, Viana do Castelo, Braga and Aveiro, points to “periods of rain, sometimes strong and persistent”.

The yellow warning due to wind, which does not cover the district of Aveiro, warns of the forecast of “strong winds from the southwest, with gusts of up to 75 km/h, reaching 95 km/h in the highlands”.

The yellow warning, the least serious on a scale of three, is issued by IPMA whenever there is a risk situation for certain activities depending on the meteorological situation.

SUPPORT OUR WORK. SUPPORT NEARBY JOURNALISM.

At a time when information is more important than ever, support regional and local journalism. Access to most VTM news is (still) free, but it is not free, journalism costs money and requires investment. This contribution is a way of directly supporting A Voz de Trás-os-Montes and its journalists. Our counterpart is independent and local journalism, but not only that. It means continuing to inform despite all the contingencies of confinement, without having stopped for a single day.
