April is music month at Cineteatro Messias, in Mealhada. North American singer Jaqui Naylor takes the stage on April 28th, but before that there are performances by Vértice Trio, on April 12th, and Alma de Coimbra – Sons da Lusofonia, on April 24th.
Jazz is highlighted this month at Cineteatro Messias, along with the music of Coimbra, Portuguese poets and authors.
Jaqui Naylor is known for her ability to masterfully interpret a diverse repertoire, bringing together songs from different genres and generations. All the writing, composition and production work is developed by the genius musician, Art Khu, who once again accompanies Jacqui Naylor on this tour.
On April 12th, before Naylor – and still in jazz –, Messias hosts Vértice Trio, a concert that results from the collaboration of the Municipality of Mealhada with JACC – Jazz ao Centro Clube.
On the eve of the April 25th holiday, Cineteatro Messias presents “Alma de Coimbra – Sons da Lusofonia, in a concert that will consist of three parts.
