Matosinhos Chamber wants to award street advertising against court decision | Advertising

The notice from the Administrative and Fiscal Court (TAF) of Porto reached the Matosinhos City Council (CMM), on March 1st, with clear information: the concession contract for the exploitation of advertising on street furniture, on two lots in the municipality, still that “on a provisional basis”, should be subject to “suspension”. However, the municipality understands that the way forward must be different. In view of the TAF’s decision, CMM claims the “public interest” to enforce an award that, according to another company that competed in the public tender and filed a precautionary measure, was made against the rules on the tender procedure. Some of the opposition councilors of the municipal executive argue that the municipality should accept the TAF’s recommendation and the competition should be suspended.
