The publication’s director, Joseph D. Giarraputo, founder and editorial director of Global Finance, says that “the banking sector has reached a decisive moment with the entry of generative artificial intelligence, which promises to rewrite the way we have always worked”.

The North American magazine Global Finance distinguished Santander as the “Best Bank in Portugal”, within the scope of the “World’s Best Banks 2024”.

“These awards once again elect the most outstanding financial institutions around the world, combining objective criteria – such as profitability, asset growth, geographic size, strategic relationships, new business development and product innovation – and subjective ones, through opinions of financial analysts, credit analysts, banking consultants and other industry professionals”, reveals the bank in a statement.

The magazine states that the winners “are the institutions that were best able to respond to the needs of their clients in difficult markets and obtained the best results, establishing the foundations of success for the future and those that “were able to manage their assets and liabilities in an intelligent way, taking into account constantly changing interest rate scenarios.”

The publication’s director, Joseph D. Giarraputo, founder and editorial director of Global Finance, says that “the banking sector has reached a decisive moment with the entry of generative artificial intelligence, which promises to rewrite the way we have always worked”.

“In this constantly changing environment, the Best Bank Awards recognize financial institutions that offer the widest range of services, long-term reliability and technological innovation”, he adds.
