Arrested in Viseu for driving with excess alcohol

PSP of Viseu detained two men, aged 51 and 68, in the early hours of this Wednesday at Rotunda de Nelas and Rua Capitão Silva Pereira

The Viseu PSP arrested two men, aged 51 and 68, for driving while drinking excessively in the early hours of this Wednesday (April 3).

The drivers were caught at Rotunda de Nelas and Rua Capitão Silva Pereira. According to information from the Police, the men blew into the balloon with levels of 1.42 and 1.70 grams per liter of alcohol in their blood.

The detainees were also notified to appear at the Viseu Court today.
Last week (March 25th to 31st), PSP radars kept an eye on 2,487 vehicles and agents inspected 965 vehicles and prepared 87 administrative offense reports.

And the PSP radars return from this Friday (5th) to the Viseu region. Officers are keeping an eye on the speed at which drivers are traveling from 8am on Avenida Cidade de Salamanca (next to Parque de Santiago).

Next Monday (8th), the radar will be installed at the same time on Avenida Defensores do Douro, in the city of Lamego.

The following week, the radars will be on Avenida Engenheiro Nobre da Costa (Circunvalação), in Viseu, on the 15th and on Avenida D. Egas Moniz, in Lamego, on the 16th.

The month of April ends with new passages through Avenida D. Egas Moniz, in Lamego, on the 26th and Avenida Professor Reinaldo Cardoso (Sátão road), in Viseu, on the 30th.
