Under the plenary convened by STML, a delegation of MARL workers, together with the Union’s Management, delivered on April 2nd to the President of the Company’s Board of Directors (CA) a petition demanding answers to a set of demands , namely, 35 hours of work per week, 25 days of vacation and a transport allowance that helps to mitigate the high increase in the cost of living. The aforementioned petition can be read in full here.

The President of the CA was sensitive to the workers’ demands, committing to evaluating possible solutions. However, he recalled that in the new political context created with the results of the legislative elections on March 10, there are some doubts about the future composition of the MARL Administration and, logically, the capacity of the current Administration to provide the desired answers.

Finally, STML recalled that, regardless of the new political framework and the new Government, it remains optimistic in relation to the negotiation process that seeks to conclude a Company Agreement, knowing, on the other hand, that the matters that justified the petition delivered to April 2, you can receive immediate answers from the CA.

STML will continue to accompany MARL workers, defending their rights and expectations.

With confidence and organization, we always move forward!
