“Viver Abril” celebrates 50 years of the Revolution in Esposende

The 2024 edition of the “Viver Abril” initiative is taking place in Esposende. Until April 27th, you can celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Revolution of April 25th, 1974, from a contemporary perspective. It is a unique opportunity to “immerse yourself” in the collective heritage of our history, in particular this important milestone, which assumes special relevance in reflecting on the values ​​of April and the health of our democracy. It is important to know these phenomena in depth: those of the past and those of the present.

In music, there is Opera today, at the Esposende Municipal Auditorium, from 5pm to 9:30pm with the play “Small History of a People with Memory”. The 25th will be surrounded by events in Esposende, including: the raising of flags, the inauguration of a mural evocative of all the presidents of the Municipal Assembly of the post-25th of April at the Rodrigues Sampaio Municipal Forum, an extraordinary session of the assembly municipal hall, a parrot workshop and even a cinema with the film “Revolucion (Without) Blood”.

In the last two days, you can also count on a walk for democracy in the city center, on the 26th. Then, on the 27th, younger people will have the opportunity to present their projects in the morning and, to finish off “Viver Abril”, A dance show with hip-hop groups at the Academia de Bailado de Esposende is scheduled from 6pm to 9:30pm.
