The Municipality of Tavira established the Banco de Bens e Serviços Essíveis para Animais (BSEA) social support program with the aim of providing support to people and families with few economic resources, providing basic animal goods and services.

This program also aims to support the caregivers of cat colonies authorized by the Municipality of Tavira, within the scope of the Capture-Sterilization-Return program, who voluntarily use their time to care for those animals and collaborate with Municipal Services, in safeguarding their well-being and reproductive control.

In addition to the Goods Bank, support is also available for veterinary consultations.

This program aims to reduce abandonment and neglect of animal care, as one of its main causes is the lack of financial resources.

Donations to BSEA can be made at the following locations:

– Environment Division (Casa André Pilarte)
– Animal Welfare, Health and Health Unit (Fonte Salgada)
– Social Affairs Division (Rua da Liberdade)
– Tavira Parish Council
– Santa Luzia Parish Council
– Parish Council of Conceição and Cabanas de Tavira
– Parish Council of Santa Catarina
– Cachopo Parish Council
– Parish Council of Luz de Tavira and Santo Estevão
