The Saldida School Center, of the Murtosa School Group, was the stage for a celebration of the 50th anniversary of April 25th, within the scope of the planning developed in the Domains of Curricular Autonomy.

The ceremony, marked by the presence of soldiers from Infantry Regiment No. 10, was conducted with solemnity during the flag-raising protocol, led by these guests.

Music was also present, one of the most memorable moments was the interpretation of the national anthem by the talented Inês Margaça, accompanied by Ricardo Folha on viola. Her performance was truly exciting, transporting those present to a moment of solemnity. They continued their performance with an engaging medley of April songs, reviving memories and feelings of the Carnation Revolution. To finish with a flourish, they treated us to the emotional song “Amor a Portugal”.

The event was also attended by the Commander of the N10 Infantry Regiment of S. Jacinto, the vice-president of the Chamber of Murtosa, the presidents of the Parish Councils of Murtosa and Monte and the secretary of the Parish Council of Bunheiro. The group’s director, Safe School agents and some parents of the school’s students were also present.

Class A4 welcomed those present with the reading of the poem “CES and the 25th of April”, demonstrating not only the students’ poetic talent, but also an appreciation for the values ​​of freedom that this date represents. At the end, a symbolic souvenir was given to the guests present (a bookmark with the poem and a red carnation symbol of the revolution, also created at the school.

The morning culminated with a theatrical performance, entitled “And after goodbye!”, performed by the students of the Escolar Center. A fantastic activity that concluded the celebration of the 50th anniversary of April 25th.

It was a truly unforgettable day, which will be etched in the memory of everyone who had the chance to attend.
