Project approved to create a startup company incubator in Resende

The Resende Business Association recently approved the project for RIS – Resende Incubator Start, an incubator for startup companies. The project, financed by the European Union’s Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR), will be located in Quinta dos Sais, in Resende.

The objective of this initiative is to “support entrepreneurs with ideas and entrepreneurs with startups in the process of sustained development of innovative ideas”, helping these micro-enterprises both in the creation and installation of their own company, and in the development of their business. Through this startup incubator, the Resende Business Association aims to counter the territory’s desertification trend, increasing the capacity to establish and consolidate small businesses.

This involves “the development of training activities, awareness raising, mentoring, networking, support in the implementation of scalability projects and support in raising capital to finance its activities”, explains the Resende Business Association. This new incubator is part of RNI – Portugal Incubators, a network that brings together and accredits incubators in Portugal.
