You may remember his face from Batman: The Dark Knight. We tell you what happened to the career of actor Aaron Eckhart, the unforgettable interpreter of Two-Face.

He was on the rise in the 2000s, with notable roles in Erin Brockovich, Thank You for Smoking and, most of all, Batman: The Dark Knight, in which he played Harvey Dent, aka Two-Face. But after filming Christopher Nolan’s superhero blockbuster, this American actor gradually disappeared from the radar. Here we tell you what happened to Aaron Eckhart.

An unenthusiastic period

After The Dark Knight and at the height of his popularity, Aaron Eckhart continued to film regularly. The actor starred in the romantic comedy Love Happens, alongside Jennifer Aniston; the science fiction World Invasion: Battle of Los Angeles, in which he starred opposite Michelle Rodriguez; and the dramatic comedy Diary of a Drunk Journalist, with Johnny Depp.

So far, everything is going great, especially since the actor also starred in the successful action film Invasion of the White House, in which he plays none other than the President of the United States.

But for no apparent reason, Eckhart’s career continued at a slow pace. The actor appeared in Sully: The Hero from the Hudson River, directed by Clint Eastwood and starring Tom Hanks, but the film was not a huge success.

An action film to relaunch your career?

In recent years, Aaron Eckhart has participated in some films and series, such as the war film Midway, by Roland Emmerich, in 2019; the lead role in the thriller Wander Conspiracy, two years later; and an appearance in the credits of the drama series The Romanoffs.

In 2022, the actor returned to play a US president, in this case Gerald Ford, in the series The First Lady. And soon, he will be seen in the thriller The Bricklayer, directed by Renny Harlin. Could this be the beginning of a renaissance in Eckhart’s career?
