Kevin Costner ruined his relationship with Yellowstone to film the epic Horizon, whose trailer promises something that almost doesn’t exist anymore.

The chaos behind the scenes of Yellowstone is more complicated than the universe made up of a main series, two launched spin-offs and three more planned. What is certain is that Kevin Costner left the series behind in order to have more time to film his new western project Horizon: An American Saga, which will consist of at least two films scheduled for release in 2024.

The first trailer for Horizon was recently released, and we can already tell that the epic western looks more exciting than any episode of Yellowstone. We need this cinematic megalomania again.

Horizon promises visual power that is missing in cinema

When Costner pitches a film as a director, he rarely does things by halves. His directorial debut, Dances with Wolves, was a 3-hour epic that revitalized the Western in the early 1990s.

As a director, Costner is repeatedly drawn to the Western – the genre in which Pact of Justice was also set, his last work as a director in cinema to date. With Horizon, perhaps the project with which Kevin once again risks everything is coming to us.

The images in the trailer are powerful and magnificent. The song seeks maximum emotional drama in just a few minutes of video. Overall, Horizon feels like the best of all the grand gestures with which Costner loads all of his films.
