Warner Bros. Games and DC today released Season 1 of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice Leaguea free DLC available to all players, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC (Steam and Epic Games Store).

The first season introduces the Joker, who becomes a new member of Task Force X after Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Captain Boomerang and King Shark rescue him from his Alternate Earth, invaded by Brainiac. The first season of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League includes new Raids and Fortresses, missions and activities, themed cosmetic items, battles against Justice League-fused Brainiac variants, and more. Throughout the season’s two episodes, players will find new equipment inspired by DC supervillains Scarecrow and Two-Face, as well as new weapons based on the villains Mad Hatter, Merlyn, Dr. Psycho, Reverse-Flash and Black Manta.

User Reviews

Despite the content promised above, many users are criticizing the launch.

Paul Tassi, a service games expert who writes for Forbes, summarized the problems:

  • Motion comic introduction, no story missions;
  • Grind 15-20 ancient mission types to unlock Joker;
  • New incursions are old objectives;
  • I’m sure my mastery levels are blocked by bugs;
  • The boss fight is a reworked campaign fight.
