The star of “Euphoria” (HBO Max), Sydney Sweeney, starred in the comedy sensation of the year with Glen Powell (“Top Gun: Maverick”) and was among the most watched films in Portugal at the time of its screening.
Sydney Sweeney gained her due prominence thanks to the HBO Max series, where she plays Cassie Howard. Although she only gained more prominence with “Euphoria”, the American actress has had a very busy schedule over the last 15 years. In the last decade and a half the actress appeared in more than 50 films, of the most varied genres.
However, there is one genre that stands out above the rest – horror. Around 10% of his filmography is made up of horror films. With a new film of this genre in theaters, “Immaculate”, these are Sydney Sweeney’s 7 best horror films so far.
ZMD: ZOMBIES OF MASS DESTRUCTION
This horror film marked Sydney Sweeney’s film debut, in the distant year of 2009. With a budget of around half a million dollars, it was the actress’s first major experience.
The film was seen as “Shaun of the Dead”, but with less quality. On the review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes it has a 67% rating.
NIGHT TEETH
Sydney Sweeney is Eva and stars opposite Megan Fox (Grace). Unlike his first film, this one has a big budget and is produced by Netflix.
But despite this, it was an authentic shot from the side. The attempt to be a horror film with comedy elements was not well received by the public, who ended up laughing at the attempts.
THE WARD
“The Ward” was the second feature film in which Sydney Sweeney appeared, in 2010, a year after her debut. Despite not being a spectacular horror film, it was directed by the legendary John Carpenter.
According to the official synopsis, “The Ward follows a woman, played by Amber Heard, who is trapped in an asylum and suffers an intense haunting by a ghost.” The film was not very well received by critics, on Rotten Tomatoes it only managed 33%. classification.

Another horror film but this 2018 film marks a greater role for the actress. Sydney Sweeney gave a solid and worthy performance for her first big break as a protagonist.

An Amazon original film in which the definition of horror was used to its fullest. According to the official synopsis, “Juliet is very jealous of her older sister. Vivian is a talented artist who was accepted into Julliard, and Juliet was often left behind, in her sister’s shadow. However, when tragedy strikes, Juliet finds herself in possession of a book that seems to be the answer to all her problems.”
On the review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes, the film achieved an average 63% rating. Matt Donato of What to Watch writes, “Nocturne finds temptation and tragedy in a story about working yourself to death, where the scores evoke an evil that is ominously poetic in its invasive torments.”
IMMACULATE
His most recent film, which happens to be a horror film, reached first place on the list. “Immaculada” takes advantage of Sydeney Sweeney’s fame in “Euphoria” and “Everyone But You” and is proving to be a beautiful horror film. Alongside the American actress we also find Álvaro Morte, Benedetta Porcaroli, Dora Romano, Giorgio Colangeli and Simona Tabasco. Despite not being a masterpiece of the genre, it is a must-watch for any horror fan.
According to the official synopsis, “Cecília, a woman of devout faith, is warmly welcomed into the picturesque Italian countryside, where she is offered a new role in an illustrious convent. However, it becomes apparent to Cecília that her new home hides dark and terrifying secrets.”
