Arriving close to the 100th day of 2024, the month of April begins with a new wave of film productions on TV Globo’s afternoon schedule. In the coming days, after the celebrations of the 50th anniversary of the Afternoon Session, the tableau should present fantasies, romantic comedies and dramas.

Matteo Garrone’s version of Pinocchio is the film that kicks off the schedule, followed by the irreverent A Love of Treasure. On the trail of romantic comedies, De Carona Para o Amor is the feature for Wednesday (03), with the biopic Dois Filhos de Francisco the following day.

Old carver Geppetto’s creation, Pinocchio, magically comes to life with his dream of becoming a real boy. Easily influenced, Pinocchio falls from one adventure to another as he is tricked, kidnapped and chased by bandits.

A Love of Treasure (TUESDAY, 02/04, AT 3:25 PM)

Benjamin Finnegan is a treasure hunter obsessed with finding the ship Queen’s Dowry, which sank in 1715 and, according to legend, was carrying 40 chests of great treasure. Determined to find him at any cost, Benjamin even threw away his marriage to Tess, who then decides to rebuild her life working on billionaire Nigel Honeycutt’s team. One day, Benjamin finds a key clue in his hunt for the ship and, to Tess’s chagrin, manages to convince Nigel and his daughter, Gemma, to help him on yet another search.

From a Ride to Love (WEDNESDAY, 03/04, AT 3:25 PM)

Jocelyn, successful businessman, seducer, liar and misogynist. Despite being tired of himself, he ends up seducing a pretty young woman, pretending to be disabled, until the day she introduces him to her sister, who is actually disabled.

2 Sons of Francisco (THURSDAY, 04/04, AT 3:25 PM)

Francisco is a farmer who dreams of turning his sons Mirosmar and Emival into a famous country duo. A businessman manages to launch them into the countryside, until an accident interrupts their career. Years later, Mirosmar becomes Zezé di Camargo, but fame only comes when he teams up with another brother, the perfect partner to make his father’s dream come true.

Eragon (FRIDAY, 05/04, AT 3:25 PM)

A young man finds a strange blue stone, from which a dragon is born. He then becomes part of an ancient dynasty, which was apparently exterminated by the ruler of the kingdom in which he lives. Based on the book by Christopher Paolini.
