The iconic American director made some of the most recognizable films in history – “The Nightmare Before Christmas” (1993), “Beetlejuice” (1988), “Corpse Bride” (2005), “Eduardo Scissorhands” (1990 ), “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” (2005), “Alice in Wonderland” (2010), among many others.

With his own aesthetic, tending towards the dark, Tim Burton has become quite popular and is one of the greatest influences of recent years. Throughout his career he was nominated for 2 Oscars, always in the category of Best Animated Film, with “Frankenweenie” (2013) and “Corpse Bride” (2005).

“My favorite movie is probably the furthest one – Pee-Wee Herman”, said Tim Burton when choosing his debut project, “Pee-Wee’s Big Adventure”. Made in 1985, it was Burton’s first feature film and the first film made with the infamous character of Pee-Wee Herman, created by Paul Reubens.

A film that not all Tim Burton fans would list among their favorites. However, this The film was a box office success and was the launching pad for other bigger budget productions such as “Beetlejuice” and “Batman”.
