Dutch group Within Temptation will release their next single on April 5th, titled “A Fool’s Parade”. The song will be accompanied by a clip recorded in Kiev, the capital of Ukraine, and is intended to draw attention to the country’s struggle and the need for help in its defense.

During her visit, vocalist Sharon den Adel was interviewed by Metal Pilgrim, and spoke about the criticism the group receives for carrying the Ukrainian flag at shows and exposing its position so openly.
“Some people stopped following us because we started being more supportive and open. They say, ‘You can’t be political as a band.’ I disagree, because we all have opinions, and we all speak publicly, and that’s how society is today. You see it on social media, there’s no filter for anything. I’m not saying I need to burden people with this, but I want to have my stance and I hope this makes people think about it,” he said.
