Slipknot kicked off their new tour cycle this Wednesday, April 25th, with an “intimate” show at a venue called Pappy + Harriet’s in Pioneertown, CA, which has a capacity for 850 people. And as all maggots know very well, a new tour means new masks, costumes and everything else that comes with it. But 2024 marks a special year for the Iowa band, as they will celebrate the 25th anniversary of their 1999 self-titled album.

The show was not only a warm-up for their grand return at the ‘Sick New World’ festival next Saturday, April 27, but it also served as a way to pay homage to the group’s early days. Therefore, the band returned to their classic 1999 jumpsuits, with vocalist Corey Taylor wearing a replica of the mask from that time, complete with dreads.

“Tonight it doesn’t matter where you come from, it doesn’t matter when you were born. This year is fucking 1999. We’re going to play some songs made after that year, but damn, it all started in ’99 and it’s starting again here tonight.”Corey said during the show.
While the original members incorporated elements from their 1999 masks and costumes, the newest members have their own look. Including the new drummer, who wears a white mask, as seen in the image above. There are rumors that this mask would not yet be the definitive one, but if not even the name of the new member has been released, imagine details about his mask… and although his identity has not been officially announced, the following video, recorded from behind the scenes, seems make it clear who you are talking about.

A reddit user used a tattoo of Eloy on his arm to prove that he is the one taking care of the drumsticks.
Another video published on reditt shows the new drummer up close as the band enters the stage, and comments on the sneakers that are similar to those worn by Eloy.
