The countdown to the 10th edition of Rock in Rio Lisboa has begun. The festival is scheduled for the 15th, 16th, 22nd and 23rd of June at Parque Tejo-Lisboa, where the new Cidade do Rock is being built.

The 20th anniversary edition of the music and entertainment event will feature artists from various generations. On the first day, Palco Mundo hosts Scorpions, Evanescence, Extreme and a special concert by Xutos & Pontapés with the Portuguese Philharmonic Orchestra.

Presented as a day for the whole family, June 16th will feature concerts by Ed Sheeran, Calum Scott, Jão and Fernando Daniel.

On the second weekend, the Jonas Brothers are the headliners on June 22nd – the band recently postponed their entire European tour, but kept the concert in Lisbon. On the same day, Palco Mundo welcomes Macklemore, Ivete Sangalo and Carolina Deslandes.

On the fourth and final day of Rock in Rio Lisboa’s 20th anniversary party, Doja Cat, Camila Cabello, Ne-Yo and Aitana promise to liven up the City of Rock.

In addition to Palco Mundo, Rock in Rio Lisboa has a new stage, Palco Tejo, which will welcome artists such as Rival Sons, Blind Zero, Lauren Spencer Smith, Iñigo Quintero, Ornatos Violeta, ProfJam or Mc Cabelinho. The Galp Stage will also return to Cidade do Rock to host concerts by Europe, Lukas Graham, Jake Bugg, Carolina de Deus, James, Luísa Sonza or Anselmo Ralph.

The new City of Rock promises to surprise with an “even more incredible experience for the thousands of fans who are preparing to live four days of pure magic”.

Compared to the old enclosure in Parque da Bela Vista, Parque Tejo Lisboa offers a larger area and a series of improvements that increase public comfort. With 30,000 m2 more space for the public, which provides more fluid circulation and a significant increase in the number of toilet facilities – 150 more cabins -, which will guarantee easier and faster access. The operational area also grew by 40%, offering teams more space and resources to guarantee the best experience for the public.

The restaurant area will be expanded, with 39 bars available to the public, 17 more than the previous edition, and 234 linear meters of food service, compared to the 175 linear meters available in 2022. With this increase, visitors will be able to enjoy an even more diverse gastronomic offer capable of meeting the public’s diverse dietary needs, including vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options.

Both Palco Mundo and Palco Galp will also undergo significant growth in size and capacity. The World Stage, known for being the epicenter of the festival’s main performances, will have its scenography increased from 894m2 to 989.50m2, providing even more space for artists and shows. The Galp Stage, which has given prominence to several emerging talents, will increase from 370m2 to 680m2 of scenography, in addition to receiving a new giant screen on the side, expanding the public’s visual experience.

“With a considerable increase in audiences on both stages, fans will be able to enjoy unforgettable concerts with more comfort and visibility. The new venue will also accommodate a new stage, further enriching the diversity and dynamism of the festival”, says Rock in Rio.

Other improvements include an increase in accessibility, with 90% of the park accessible to people with reduced mobility, and adapted bathrooms in all sanitary points of the park, as well as the installation of 60 more drinking fountains compared to the old enclosure to ensure hydration adequate number of visitors.

With an expansion of entertainment spaces, including a larger circulation area in front of Rock Street.
