The home team put themselves ahead with goals from Rodri, who successfully converted a penalty in the 12th minute, and a great goal from Dani Olmo (36′). However, Brazil’s reaction began in the first half.
Rodrygo scored on a pitch he knows well and reduced the distance to the score after 40 minutes. In the second half, Endrick scored again for the Brazilians and equalized in the 50th minute.
Very close to the final whistle, Spain returned to the lead thanks to a double from captain Rodri, who scored a new penalty in the 87th minute. But Dorival Júnior went to the bench as the solution to the draw.
On his debut for Brazil, Galeno came on in the 82nd minute and won, in stoppage time, the penalty that allowed Lucas Paquetá to equalize at the final whistle (90+2′). Wendell was a starter and Pepê did not leave the bench.
