One of the points of the General Assembly of Boavista Shareholders this Wednesday was the holding of elections for the SAD, but no list presented itself for suffrage. With this scenario, Vítor Murta will continue in his position until the end of April, something foreseen in the club’s statutes.
With an estimated time of at least one month between scheduling and holding a new General Assembly – it is expected to take place in the first days of May -, the Axadrezados will continue with a president of the SAD resigned. Owner Gérard López, contrary to what was previously reported, did not present any list to the governing bodies.
«The shareholders, of great quality, have had a great capacity to understand the situation. Without calm, we will not reach any solution. Boavista is not in an easy situation, but I believe that in the next Assembly we will have corporate bodies of the SAD. I regret this uncomfortable situation, both for society and for an institution heading towards 121 years of existence», stated Álvaro Braga Júnior, current president of AGto the zero zero.
Vítor Murta, remember, advanced with a resignation from SAD at the end of February. The elections for the club’s presidency, a position he also continues to hold, are scheduled for December 2024,
