On the 14th, Ndicka caused panic in Udine. The defender felt unwell, with chest pains and forced the game to be postponed until this Thursday, April 25th. In the 20 minutes that remained to play, Roma broke the tie that had been created 11 days ago and won, by 1-2.

Roberto Pereyra opened and Lukaku equalized, last Sunday, before the postponement. When it resumed, this Thursday, the match practically started with a new injury, after a clash of heads between players. With calmer moods — and with João Ferreira on the field — Lucca forced Svilar into a complicated defense, showing he was paying attention.

In Fábio Cannavaro’s first official game as coach of Udinese — or, at least, 20 minutes —, the home team tried to reward the new coach and came back to score towards the end. The desired tiebreaker goal came, but for Roma.

Following a corner, in the fifth minute of added time, Cristante appeared at the near post and subtly deflected his header.

In this way, the three points traveled to Rome and De Rossi’s team was six points away from the podium.
