Normally, when Samsung launches a new design for any smartphone, it is very likely that this same exact design will be reused every 1 or 2 years, to make the entire research and development effort profitable. This has been a successful strategy for the South Korean giant, especially in the world of still complex and difficult to sell foldable smartphones.
Still, after last year’s revolution with the Galaxy Z Flip5, everything indicates that Samsung is ready to improve the base design a little, to attract even more consumer attention.
Galaxy Z Flip6 will evolve in 2024. Not expected!
So, in case you didn’t know, Samsung’s new wave of foldable smartphones should be announced and launched in July 2024. However, contrary to expectations, Samsung is planning to make some interesting, and apparently significant, changes to the base design that should bring the Galaxy Z Flip6 to life.
Let’s hope this doesn’t mean a new price increase, because there is no room for that in 2024. However, if all this is confirmed, it is undeniable that Samsung’s new Flip will become much more interesting.
More specifically, everything indicates that Samsung will invest in a larger secondary screen. In other words, we will have an addition compared to the 3.4” external screen of the Galaxy Z Flip5. What will be the difference? Well, we’re going to have a 3.9” screen!
Meanwhile, the main screen should continue to have the same 6.7 inches as usual, however, with the 3.9” outer screen doing its thing, it is expected that Samsung will move more apps to this screen, making it possible to have access to 100% of the smartphone’s features and capabilities.
In addition to all this, Samsung is also planning to significantly improve image capture capabilities by equipping the new Z Flip6 with a 50MP primary sensor, instead of the current 12MP sensor which is not bad, but not amazing either. .
As for the rest of the specifications, it is very likely that the SoC will be a Snapdragon 8 Gen3. Furthermore, being a top of the range AI (Galaxy AI), the RAM will definitely rise to 12GB.
