Even though it is a personal device, the smartphone is often shared to listen to music or simply to spend time on streaming services. Although it can be done between friends, sound sharing cannot be done, at least directly.

This could change with the arrival of the final version of Android 15, at least judging by what we can find in the second version dedicated to programmers. In this new version launched now, the first bases for sharing audio via Bluetooth appear.

Information is still scarce, but in the area of configuration of these devices the new features are already visible. Here the new “Audio sharing” option appears, which then takes the user to a new screen where this functionality can be activated or deactivated.

Android 15 takes Bluetooth even further

A phrase is also found here that apparently describes the new functionality of Android 15. We talk about “Allow other people to listen to your multimedia with you using your own compatible headphones”. With this description the functionality is obvious.

For now it seems that Google still has a lot to do in this area. The option can be activated, but ends up leaving without offering anything to the user. Soon, in an upcoming version of Android 15, this should show more and in particular how it works for everyone.

This is another new feature that Google is preparing for Android 15 that will make this system even better and with more capabilities. We had already seen the arrival of satellite communication, but now it is clear that sharing smartphone audio via Bluetooth will also be something that everyone will want to use.
