A Microsoft appears to be ready to reveal a new version of Microsoft 365 It’s from Office 365 globally, in which the most prominent note is the non-inclusion of Microsoft Teams. This comes in response to an analysis of the European Commission and complaints from one of its main competitors: Slack.
This change comes after Microsoft agreed to sell the Office 365 package without Microsoft Teams in the European Union and Switzerland, in 2023. In other words, it is already the case here in Portugal.
And for those who don’t know, Microsoft Teams was introduced in 2017 as a free part of your productivity tool suite, be it Office 365 or Microsoft 365.
Now, in a statement to ReutersMicrosoft said the decoupling also takes into account feedback from the European Commission, giving multinational companies more flexibility if they want to standardize their purchases across different regions.
Microsoft Teams definitely separate from Office
Reuters also reported that Microsoft will present the new Office 365 product lines this Monday. However, to date, Microsoft has not yet implemented this change.
