Samsung: Evolution refrigerators with artificial intelligence

A Samsung revealed last Tuesday (23) its line of refrigerators Evolutionwhich has the first Duplex models connected with artificial intelligence through the SmartThings.

According to the manufacturer, the new features bring more control and savings to consumers in the kitchen.

With different capacities and functions, which adapt to different family use profiles, the RT38 (391 liters), RT42 (411 liters), RT53 (518 liters) and RB50 (462 liters) refrigerators have as their main difference the compatibility with Samsung’s SmartThings ecosystem for smart home management, including the AI ​​Energy Mode function, which helps reduce energy consumption at home.

The new functionality helps the refrigerator if it exceeds the desired energy limit, causing artificial intelligence to suggest an optimization of compressor speed and defrost cycle based on daily use.

Featured features of Evolution Refrigerators:

  • 20-year warranty on the Digital Inverter compressor, which guarantees more savings, a greater level of silence and greater durability;
  • POWERvolt technology: works uninterruptedly from 90V to 310V, being more resistant to power surges, exclusively present in the brand’s Duplex models;
  • Minimalist design, with flat doors, built-in handles, internal digital panel, delivering a design with straight lines and level surfaces ideal for combining with the decor, easily adapting to any kitchen concept;
  • Digital panel on the inside of the product, easy to use and access, with direct functions and several features that expand when the user connects to SmartThings, providing a wide range of commands and functions to program the refrigerator;
  • Exclusive SpaceMax technology that allows the walls to be thinner, offering great space without increasing external dimensions or compromising energy efficiency, having more internal space to store food with the same external volume;
  • Air vents strategically positioned to maintain a stable temperature in all corners of the refrigerator without fluctuations;
  • All Around Cooling technology helps preserve food, while the Power Cool function injects cold air into the refrigerator to quickly cool food and drinks at the touch of a button;
  • Twist ice factory, in which you simply turn the support for the ice to fall into a reservoir, and the Deodorizing Filter, which keeps the interior of the refrigerator free of unwanted odors, made with natural fibers and activated charcoal to remove odor particles and preserve the flavor of food for longer.

Samsung Duplex Evolution models

O model RT38, in Inox and Black Inox versions, has a capacity of 391 liters and is Bivolt, as is the entire new line. Already the model RT42with a capacity of 411 liters, has versions in Stainless Steel, Black Stainless Steel and Beige, in addition to the Optimal Fresh+ drawer, which allows you to switch between four modes to store different foods – in the “Soft Freeze” mode, for example, it is possible to preserve the freshness of delicate foods, such as meat and fish, for much longer, in addition to maintaining their natural flavor.

The removable multipurpose compartment, easy to remove, also allows you to make greater use of the RT42’s internal space, providing more flexibility for storing a wide variety of items, from a larger quantity of cans, to jams and other foods.

A Duplex refrigerator RT53, with a capacity of 518 liters in the stainless steel and beige versions, also features the Optimal Fresh+ drawer and the removable multipurpose compartment, but has an extra feature which is the two-stage, retractable shelf, which gives flexibility to store food and drinks of greater proportions. Folded in half, the shelf makes room for tall bottles and juice boxes, for example, without the consumer wasting space or needing to lay them down.

Finally, the Duplex Inverse refrigerator RB50, of 462 liters in the Inox and Black Inox versions, is the most specific of the new line. In addition to the features present in the previously mentioned models, the RB50 has an internal panel that is easy to access, so that the user can use in a practical way the controls discreetly positioned inside the refrigerator, also available in the SmartThings app, in addition to the LED Dimming function, to practical control over lighting – with Night Light mode, for example, the internal light adjusts automatically, depending on the time the refrigerator is opened, after configuring it in the SmartThings app.

The reversible door, another standout feature, allows you to optimize space by reconfiguring and adjusting the doors to the kitchen design. And, in addition to the Power Cool function, present in other models, the RB50 also has the Power Freeze feature, which injects a blast of cold air into the freezer, ideal for freezing food and making ice faster.
