German premium car manufacturer Audi presented the 2025 Audi A3 Sedan line to Europe, with a sportier look, new design elements and digital features.

The new 2025 Audi A3 Sedan features a frameless hexagonal singleframe grille, noticeably flatter and wider, as well as large angular side air intakes.

The same applies to the rear, which is sportier with a new bumper and a distinctive diffuser. The progressive design elements are particularly effective in the exterior of the S line, as they are partly inspired by the RS models.

It is now possible to select and switch between up to four different digital daytime running light signatures via the MMI – for the first time on A3 series models.

The taillights also feature a progressive taillight design and a new return home/leave home function configuration.

The interior brings changes – from the design of the gearbox and air vents to the decorative fabric inlays and new interior lighting. The standard equipment has been significantly expanded: in addition to the three-spoke leather steering wheel with multifunction plus, the standard equipment includes air conditioning, ambient light package and front center armrest.

The center console has been redesigned and has a new finish. The interior door handles also feature a new effect finish. In addition to the cup holders, the center console also comes standard with an integrated armrest, which can be moved forward or backward and tilted. The compact gearbox also features a new design – flatter.

Interior lighting, included as standard, adds detail to the doors and footrests. Additional lighting elements and contour lighting in the switch panel and door sills are available as options. A new design element is that the front doors are extensively illuminated.

The new Audi A3 Sedan 2025 comes standard with DAB+ digital radio and a 10.1-inch touchscreen, the Audi virtual cockpit and an inductive smartphone charger. In addition to the two front USB C charging ports in the center console, there are two additional ports at the rear as standard.

Optionally, there is MMI navigation plus, which allows the driver to use a range of applications directly on the vehicle’s display. The selected apps are installed into the A3’s infotainment system – without detours via the user’s smartphone. Users can also interact with their apps via voice command. Additionally, Amazon Alexa can be used to stream music as well as operate smart home devices.

In addition to MMI navigation plus including Audi connect services, the A3 can be upgraded with the smartphone interface, which integrates iOS and Android smartphones into the MMI system via Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. Also available are adaptive cruise control, high beam assist, and the ability to expand the standard air conditioning system with dual-zone comfort air conditioning. All functions can be booked for one month, six months, one year, three years or permanently depending on the customer’s individual needs. If, for example, an extended vacation is planned with the A3, the navigation and adaptive cruise assistant are useful additions – for relaxed journeys on long stretches of motorway and targeted guidance in unfamiliar areas.

Even as standard, the A3 features Audi pre sense front, Audi pre sense front, collision avoidance and turning assist, and the lane departure warning system help to avoid accidents with other road users. Adaptive Cruise Assist, which assists with longitudinal and lateral control and is complemented by an assisted lane change function, increases driving comfort. The system controls acceleration, braking and steering at speeds of up to 210 km/h (130 mph) and also assists with lane changes at speeds above 90 km/h (55 mph) on highways. Activated via MMI, the system uses data from the rear radar to display white arrows on the instrument panel and head-up display to indicate whether and in which direction it is possible to change lanes. If the driver initiates the lane change by touching the arrow, the system actively assists the driver in steering.

When driving in the city, Park Assist with Park Assist Plus helps the driver when parking and exiting parking spaces through targeted steering maneuvers. The lane departure warning, departure warning and cross traffic assist system monitors traffic behind and to the sides of the vehicle using rear radar, further increasing safety and comfort.

In Europe, the A3 will initially be launched in two engine/transmission versions. The 35 TFSI with a 1.5-liter engine has an output of 110 kW (150 hp) and is available in an automatic version with seven-speed S tronic and mild hybrid technology. The diesel engine is a 35 TDI with 110 kW (150 hp) and a seven-speed S tronic. In the second quarter of 2024, more gasoline and diesel engines will follow. A plug-in hybrid model will be added to the lineup near the end of the year.

The A3 Sportback and A3 Sedan, which roll off the line at Audi’s Ingolstadt factory, will be available to order in Europe from March. In Germany, the Sportback with 35 TFSI S tronic 1 is available from 35,650 euros. The additional cost for the Sedan is 800 euros.
