Accident between a truck and a van transporting patients leaves four injured in Sapucaia | South of Rio and Costa Verde

An accident involving a truck carrying paper and a van transporting patients left four people injured this Tuesday morning (19) on Rodovia Lúcio Meira (BR-393), in Sapucaia (RJ).

According to K-Infra, the concessionaire that manages the highway, the vehicles collided head-on at km 121. Soon after, the truck overturned.

Still according to the dealership, of the four victims, one was in the truck and the other three in the van, which was the responsibility of the city of Santo Antônio de Pádua (RJ).

All the injured were taken to Hospital São Salvador, in Além Paraíba (MG). g1 tries to contact the medical unit to update the health status of the injured.

Around 4:30 p.m., traffic on the stretch was flowing using the “stop and go” system.
