António Évora’s death was reported on the morning of this Thursday, March 21st, when José Raposo was on SIC’s ‘Casa Feliz’.

The news caused several artists to pay tribute to him on social media, including José Raposo.

This Friday morning, the actor took to his Instagram page to talk about António Évora again and mourn his departure.

“My friend António Évora died. The person who loved life most left us in shock! Because he promoted conviviality and friendship like few others, he created a true Portugal-Brazil artistic exchange better than anyone else, he was always the guide available to the Brazilian colleagues who came here, and who later invited him to go there”, he highlighted.

“I remember performing in Bairro Alto, in the 80s, two great Brazilian actresses – Cleyde Yáconis and Laura Cardoso”, he later recalled.

“A fantastic storyteller, with constant activity, short films, interviews, collaboration in Casa do Artista activities… He will leave us greatly missed”, he added, having finally cited Frederico Corado’s text about António’s journey Évora. See the publication in full:

It should be remembered that actors such as Ricardo Carriço, Luísa Ortigoso or presenter José Carlos Malato also left a message on Instagram after the death of António Évora.
