Xiaomi launched the Redmi A3 in China in February, betting on a low price equivalent to the R$500 range and a basic technical specification focusing on a large screen and generous battery. Now, new details indicate that the POCO C61 will be the global variant of the device and will maintain its main features.

According to details leaked by the Indian website Appuals, the POCO C61 will share the specifications of the Redmi A3 and maintain elements such as the 6.7-inch screen with LCD panel, resolution of just 1650 x 720 pixels (HD) and 90 Hz refresh rate .
The future launch outside China will be equipped with the same entry-level MediaTek Helio G36 processor, with wireless network limitation for 4G connectivity and sufficient performance for more basic tasks such as accessing social networks, web browsing and other simpler applications.

Its camera set will be equally simple, having a front sensor of just 5 MP, an 8 MP main lens and a 0.08 MP secondary lens that is only present for collecting depth data in portrait mode.
The POCO C61 is still expected to have the same 5,000 mAh battery with support for charging at just 10 Watts, but at least the device debuts with a USB-C port.
Other leaked features of the entry-level smartphone include a fingerprint reader integrated into the side power button, support for two operator SIM chips with a micro SD card slot, headphone jack, stereo speakers, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

Regarding the price, it is revealed that the POCO C61 will be sold in the configuration of 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage for 7,499 rupees (about R$ 450 in direct conversion), while the option with 6 GB + 128 GB will cost 8,499 rupees (~R$510).
